Haydn - captain of Australian Cricket Team for ID player
💪😎Haydn (31 years old), was diagnosed with mild intellectual disability. But that didn't stop him from becoming the captain of the Australian Cricket Team for Players with Intellectual Disabilities (ID).
🏏Having started playing junior cricket at 14, Haydn said he didn't know at first that people with disabilities could also participate in the sport.
“Don't give up on your dreams, believe in yourself, and keep working towards those goals. There are plenty of sports for people with intellectual disabilities. Also, don't feel trapped in, talk to your support worker or family member as they are here to help”, Haydn said 💁
